Senior Portraits

BARKSDALE will photograph every member of the Senior Class free of charge for the yearbook regardless of whether or not he or she purchases a portrait package. Students will be provided with color proofs for student review and selection. The color proofs will consist of: • Eight poses in a drape for girls and tux for boys on a neutral background, selected by the yearbook advisor

• Eight poses in a cap and gown on a new neutral background, selected by the yearbook advisor

• Eight casual poses on a background to be selected by the school.

BARKSDALE will provide all drapes, tuxedo jackets, caps, and accessories, except for informal wear, necessary. BARKSDALE is responsible for all procedural aspects of the taking of the portraits and school staff or students are not to be required to assist the studio with photography procedures. Sitting dates will be arranged with the school’s administration. BARKSDALE will provide a minimum of three different session dates for seniors to choose from. BARKSDALE is responsible for scheduling portrait sittings and for the notification of sitting times and details by mail to each senior. Students will schedule appointments at www.Barksdale. com the school will not have to distribute materials of any sort for BARKSDALE. A Junior Assembly is recommended to provide information to the rising juniors about senior portraits. The assembly is 20 minutes long and we provide a video of how the senior sittings work. At the request of the school, a sitting fee may be collected from each student which will be returned to the school’s activity fund. Make-up dates and dates for re-sittings to be held at the High School will be arranged with the school’s administration. We guarantee that all portraits will be professionally and technically correct. Re-shooting of portraits in the event of technical problems (eyes closed, clothing not properly arranged, etc.) will be done at no cost to the student. All proofs will be delivered to the individual students by mail within 14 days of their sitting date, at no cost to the individual or the school. After an order is received, finished prints are mailed directly to the student’s home or sent to the school within six weeks.
